• KMHD 89.1 FM - a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to providing quality jazz, blues, and traditional American music 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

• Mt. Hood Jazz Festival - an outdoor music festival that takes place in intimate Gresham Main City Park, where fans can see the musicians up close. A wide variety of food, wine and microbrews are available right on Festival grounds.

• The Portland Jazz Festival - a celebration of jazz music, Black History Month, and the City of Portland.

• Leroy Vinnegar Jazz Institute - named for Portland jazz bassist Leroy Vinnegar (1928-1999). The institute is housed in PSU's School of Fine and Performing Arts and directed by Darrell Grant, jazz pianist and PSU associate professor of music.
